CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The school takes special care to provide for adequate facilities for co-curricular activities such as painting, music, sports, debate, elocution etc. Professional expertise is made available to guide these activities. Competitions are organised and prizes are awarded from time to time encourage participation of students at the school level and "tside. Excursions and sight-seeing are arranged periodically through which the students learn not only to be communicative, confident and to interact with others, but also to be polite and courteous in their and manners. Special emphasis is given on helping the child to develop habits of self-help and self-reliance. Sufficient stress is give on informal value-based education through various activities.


DISCIPLINE

Discipline is fundsmental condition to maintain proper work culture and achieve excellence. The school therefore ensures perfect discipline in the classrooms and in the campus. However, discipline is not enforced through crude methods of fear and force. Students are guided and persuaded through positive approach to make discipline a part of their habit and are motivated to abide by the rules and work in an orderly manner with team spirit.


School Houses

To inspire a healthy sense of competition students of Indian Public School have been allocated one of the four houses which symbolize the school's values. Students develop a sense of belonging and a feeling of unity in being a part of a specifie house.

The colour for houses are named :
Aryabhatta - Red House
Bhabha - Orange House
Raman - Green House
Sarabhai - Yellow House, after the great scientist of our country.

Each house is led by the House Masters. The Captain and Vice-Captain guide their teams on all fronts and play a vital role in leading their team to victory in all events. Participating in various inter - house competitions not only gives the students a chance to display their talent but also helps them learn valuable lessons on team work and selfless service.


ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The school has a well planned academic calendar of about 225 working days which is strictly followed. The academic session is divided into two terms with a fixed teaching plan. Examinations are held at the end of each term, viz. first term I. Sept-Oct and the final examination in March, besides the monthly unit tests as per CBSE norms. The school timing is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students are informed well in time about seasonal variation in time-table.

PARENT-TEACHER INTERACTION
